Mamie Emily Dehart

Mamie Emily DeHart age 85 passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer on Sunday, October 13, 2024 while surrounded by her loving family.  She was born the daughter of Benjamin & Bertha (Risner) Jenkins on October 11, 1939 in Salyersvlle, Kentucky.  She is preceded in death by her husband Richard DeHart in 2020; parents; infant daughter Emiely; son Lionel Daniels; 3 sisters Patty Travis, Ruth Tanner & Rosalind Day.  Mamie is survived by her sons Gordon (Bertha) DeHart of Springfield & Robert (Marcia) DeHart of Florida; daughter Tina Cotterman of Springfield; brothers Ray (Arbutis) Jenkins, Denzil (Cat) Jenkins, Gallord (Elaine) Jenkins, Benzil (Vivian) Jenkins & Ronald (Audrey) Jenkins; sisters Ruie Montgomery, Lillian Howard, Wanda (Jay) Mann & Marsha (Ray) Adkins; grandchildren Amanda, Megan, Garett, Emily, Sarah, Dalton, Holly & Kristen; 6 great grandchildren; faithful K9 companion Tucker; several nieces, nephews & a host of friends.  Mamie was a loving mom, granny, sister, & friend.  She will be missed by all of those who love her.  Mamie was patriotic, she loved God & her country.  Even through her illness she wanted to make sure everyone knew her vote was going to be cast for Trump.  The holidays were a special time of the year for her & her family always looked forward to her homemade peanut butter fudge & carrot cake.  She enjoyed shopping & was known to be on the lookout for Christmas presents year-round.   The family would like to extend a special thanks to Ohio Valley Hospice, especially Jordan, Carey & Angie for the exceptional care given during this difficult time.  Friends & family may call on Monday, October 21, 2024 from 11AM – 12PM at RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME 838 E. High St. Springfield, Ohio where a funeral service will be held at 12PM with Pastor Denzil Jenkins officiating.  Interment to follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
