Linda A. Porter

December 11, 1939 — June 1, 2020

Porter, Linda A., 80 of South Charleston passed away June 1, 2020 in her residence. She was born in Crestline, Ohio on December 11, 1939, the daughter of Paul and Marion Jewell. Linda retired as an RN with 30 years of service. She was a member of the South Charleston United Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Star. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed painting, doing crafts and traveling. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Mark Jewell. Survivors include her husband of 58 years Larry, whom she married November 16, 1961; Steve Porter of Sarasota, FL; daughter and son-in-law Lisa (John) Sunyecz; grandchildren Jake, Seth and JR Porter, Alec and Ian Sunyecz; and brother James Jewell. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8PM in the Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home. A celebration of Linda’s life will be Saturday at 1:00PM in the Rose Hill Burial Park Chapel with Pastor Aaron White officiating. COVID 19 protocol will be upheld. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are requested to Hospice of the Miami Valley 1948 N Limestone St, Springfield, OH 45503.
