Larry L. Duffey

Larry L. Duffey, 75 of Springfield died September 19, 2016 in his residence following a brief illness. He was born in Springfield, Ohio on December 29, 1940, the son of Harry and Mary Duffey. Larry retired from SCAT as a bus driver with 25 years of service. Larry was proud to have been an Ordained Minister. He also enjoyed playing the drums and singing for over 30 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters Bonnie Jo Mull, Pamela Hines and Kathryn Duffey. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Sylvia Duffey, daughter Holly (Joe) Schmidt; sister Opal "Marlene" VanHoose; niece and nephew Christy (Steve) Evilsizor, Rob (Jen) Curl; great nephew Aaron Evilsizor; special friends Carol Trahan, Jerry Purden, John Mossbarger; very special friend Todd Tehan. Memorial services to honor Larry will be Friday at 2:00PM in the Chapel of Ferncliff Cemetery. A gathering will begin at 1:30PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are requested to Community/Mercy Hospice. RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME has been entrusted with the final arrangements.
