Kent Arthur Walker

Kent Arthur Walker, age 70, passed away peacefully at UCI Medical Center in Orange, California on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, surrounded by family. He was born March 12, 1954, in Springfield, OH to Roger and Julie Walker.

Kent attended Colgate University where he earned a degree in Political Science and graduated in 1976. He was a proud member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. Following his studies at Colgate, he attended William and Mary University where he completed his Masters in Business Administration in 1978.

After finishing his education, Kent moved to Washington DC where he had a successful career as a Senior Consultant at Arthur Andersen & Company. He later worked as a manager for MCI Telecommunications through the mid 1980’s before marrying and moving to Southern California.

Kent spent several decades working as a Chief Financial Officer in the custom security hardware industry. He enjoyed traveling the world, listening to classic rock music from the 60’s and 70’s and rooting on the USC Trojan football team.

Kent is survived by his former wife Jill Walker, son Ryan Walker, daughter Alyssa Suarez (husband Mark) and his grandson Noah. In addition to his immediate family, he is also survived by his siblings Wesley (wife Diane), Jon (wife Helen) and Wendy (husband Joseph). He is now reunited with his brother David who passed away in 2009 (wife Wendy).

Kent’s memory will live on in the hearts of all his friends and family who loved him. Friends and family are invited to gather for his memorial service Saturday August 10th at Trostle, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home at 507 W. Jefferson St. New Carlisle, OH 45344. For those who wish to attend, there will be a gathering at 10am and service will be held at 11am.
