Judith "Judi" Ann Smith

November 11, 1938 - April 24, 2026

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Judi Smith, who went home to be with the Lord on April 24, 2026, at the age of 87.

She was born on November 11, 1938, in Dayton, Ohio, to Charles G. North (1919-1985) and Lucille Oliver North (1921- 2004).

She is survived by her brother, James L. North (Anne), daughters Davia D. King, Pamela A. Seitz, Penelope M. Smith, and sons Eric L. Smith (Laurie) and Glenn M. Smith, Grandchildren Sara A.Winkle (Domenic), David A. Winkle, Justin D. Smith (Shana), Ryan M. Smith (Kristina), Kristyn K. Waits (Kyle), and Cody M. Smith, and Great grandchildren Emma, Thea, Leila, Kasey, and Soleil.

Judi was preceded in death by her husband David L. Smith (1934-2006) in which they shared 52 years of marriage.

Judi found joy in traveling, reading, and spending time with her family. An animal lover, she adopted multiple cats and dogs throughout her life. She will be remembered by her quick wit and humor.

Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice in the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ. As it is written in Scripture, "Well done, good and faithful servant...Enter into the joy of your Lord (Matthew 25:23). A Celebration of life will be advertised and held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Medway Church in Park Layne, Ohio.

Judi will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
