John R. Frey

John R. Frey, 73, of Springfield passed away Friday, January 4, 2019 in Forest Glen. He was born January 4, 1946 in Springfield the son of John and Irene (Neff) Frey. John was a graduate of South High School and served in the United States Air Force. He was retired from SPECO and was a member of the Machinists Club. John is survived by his wife of 36 years Barbara (Fout) Frey; his mother Irene; son Rodney Frey, all of Springfield; daughters Laura (James) Snider of Indian Lake, and Melissa Cheek of Texas; stepdaughter Terri Bowermaster of Springfield; sister Susan (Bill) Duling of Sarasota, FL; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, John; and a son-in-law Eddie Bowermaster. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1 – 2 PM. in RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. The service to honor John’s life will be Wednesday at 2:00 PM. in the Memorial Home with Chaplain Randy Reed officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
