61, of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away Friday, July 12, 2019. He was born January 30, 1958 in Springfield, Ohio the son of the late Clifford & Arlene (Simonton) Franks. He was the owner of L & J Vending, and was an avid hunter, fisherman or loved anything outdoors. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Lori Ann Franks; a daughter, TaShanon Franks & Bret McElfresh; a son, John Benjamin Franks & Jennifer Fullenkamp; six grandchildren, Cameron, Hannah, Autumn, Madison, Samantha & Elizabeth; three brothers, Clifford (Frances) Franks, Raymond (Linda) Franks , Richard (Kathy) Franks; two sisters, Arlene (Kenneth) Harrell, Ellen Phillips; other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two daughters, Faith Marie Franks & Misti Ann Franks. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Funeral services will be 10 AM Wednesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in New Carlisle Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the New Carlisle Baseball Softball Association or mentor a child. The family would like to thank Crossroads Hospice for the loving care he received and Allenview Nursing Center for being sympathetic to needs of Lori and her family.
