John Robert Emmons

John Robert Emmons, age 69, of Springfield, Ohio, passed away after a brief illness on November 3, 2026, at UC Medical Center with his family by his side. John was born in Springfield on November 28, 1956, to the late Willard E. and Nanie Emmons.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Brenda A. McCaughey Emmons; daughter, Lydia Faye Hill (Michael); many cousins and extended family; as well as special friends: Don Puterbaugh and Randy Myers.

John held a degree in mechanical engineering and worked for various companies including Bomag, Delphi, and Kodak. He enjoyed spending time in his garden and working on his cars, he was always willing to help others with repairs and yard work. John also enjoyed genealogy, history and motorcycles. But most of all, John enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, November 9, 2026, from 10:00am to 11:00am at Richards, Raff, and Dunbar Memorial Home, 838 East High Street, Springfield. Funeral services officiate by Pastor Nathan Rambeck will begin at 11:00am. John will be laid to rest at Fern Cliff Cemetery.
