John Edward Deyo, Sr.

John Edward Deyo, Sr., 58, a lifetime resident of Springfield, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2020. He was born June 23, 1962, the son of the late Paul and Dorothy Whaley. John worked as a self-employed mechanic, helping friends and family with repairs over the years. He was a loving husband and father. John is preceded in death by his parents and loving wife Donna. He is survived by his daughter Elizabeth Deyo; sons John (Carla Coles) Deyo, Jr. and Brian Deyo; brothers Paul (Marla Burnett) Whaley, Jr. and Richards (Linda) Whaley; grandchildren Lacey, John, Paul and David; great-granddaughter Persephone; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Private services will be held by the family at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home.
