Joe Winkle

Joe W. Winkle age 82 of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at Good Shepherd Village. He was born the son of Herbert & Olevia (Homer) Winkle on April 11, 1943 in Springfield, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Roseann Winkle; sister Betty Winkle. He is survived by his son Scott (Sara) Winkle; daughter Mary Jo (James) Darr; grandchildren C.J., Marissa, Rosemary, and Joseph; siblings Roy Winkle, Charles (Maxine) Winkle, Rose (Thomas) Lubbers, Irma (Thomas) Lambert, and Joyce (Bruce) Hinkle; along with several nieces, nephews & a host of friends. For many years he was the owner & operator of Joe’s Transistor, a radio & television repair shop here in town. In his spare time, he enjoyed building and flying RC Model Aircraft and was a loyal fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and Reds. Joe was a loving father, grandfather, brother & friend. He will be missed by all of those who love him. A graveside service will be held at Vale Cemetery on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at 11AM.
