Jimmie D. Midkiff

Jimmie D. Midkiff age 85 of Springfield, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022, at his residence while surrounded by his loving family.  He was born the son of Ellis & Elva (Franklin) Midkiff on April 26, 1937, in Branchland, West Virginia.  He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Christina Midkiff; 8 siblings.  Jimmy is survived by his daughters Lisa Midkiff of Springfield, & Angela Penrose of Kentucky; son Mike Midkiff of Springfield; sisters Jean & Julie; sister-in-law Nancy Midkiff; 7 grandchildren, & 13 great grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews, & a host of friends.  Jimmy proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy, after his military career was complete, he later worked for Navistar until his retirement.  In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, working in his garage, but what he enjoyed most was spending quality time with his family.  Jimmy was a loving father, grandfather, & friend.  He will be missed by all of those who love him.  A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 5, 2022, at 11AM in the Rose Hill Burial Park.  Arrangements entrusted to RICHARDS, RAFF, & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME.  Online condolences may be left at www.richardsraffanddunbar.com
