Jerry A. Filbrun

Jerry Allen Filbrun of Conover, OH, was born on May 23, 1951 in Miami County, Ohio to Eugene and Effie Filbrun. He went to be with the Lord at the age of 69, on July 19, 2020 at Kettering Hospital in Troy, OH.

He was married to Leah Jane Kimmel on July 18, 1970, and they recently celebrated a beautiful marriage of 50 years. Jerry made the decision to commit his life to the Lord Jesus Christ along with Leah November 22, 1970 and became members of the Old German Baptist Brethren Church. Heart conditions impacted his life for many years. Feeling the need prior to a major surgery in July of 2011, he requested the anointing to which he received much comfort. According to the Lord’s will, Daddy submitted to these conditions and entered into his eternal home.

With his wife, he is survived by their two daughters Angela (Mark) Flora, Sherry (John) Root, and five grandchildren Burke Flora, Bronté Flora, Ashlyn (Jeff) Kuntz, Tawny (Karson) Fullmer, and Dalton Root and one great grandchild Cooper Kuntz. Also surviving are his brothers Kenneth Filbrun and Lowell (Sara) Filbrun, brothers-n-law Paul (Janet) Kimmel and David Kimmel, sisters-n-law Jennie Ann Filbrun, Marty (Don) Balsbaugh and MaryAnn (John) Petrie.

Preceding Jerry in death are their infant daughter Jane Elizabeth, his parents, his brother Donald Filbrun, brother-n-law Lee Kuns and sister-n-laws Janet Filbrun, Miriam Kuns and Lois Kimmel.

The visitation will be July 23rd 2020 between the times of 2 and 4pm and 5 and 8 pm at the Maple Grove Old German Baptist Brethren Church on Agenbroad Road near New Carlisle, OH. The funeral will follow at the same location Friday July 24th at 10 am with the burial following on the church property.
