Janice Ellen Zanish

Janice Ellen Kiser Zanish, age 95, of Springfield, Ohio, passed away on August 3, 2026. She was born in Springfield on July 19, 1931, to the late Harold and Georgia Kiser. In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her husband William Zanish and sister, Nina Burgert.

Janice is survived by her children: William (Toni) Zanish, Chris (Lisa) Zanish, and Mike (Teresa) Zanish, as well as her great grandson, William, whom she raised as her own; grandchildren: Bill, Wendy, Cyndi, Bryan, Tara, David, and Dane; 13 great grandchildren; and sister, Mary Ann Valley; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

For many years Janice and her husband William trained and ran thoroughbred horses. Janice’s working years were spent in retail, first with Steven Styles until it closed and later dedicating nearly two decades to assisting customers at Lazarus.

Janice’s greatest joy however is her family. She cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She is loved and will be deeply missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing her.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
