Janet May Smith

Smith, Janet May, 79 of Springfield passed away December 20, 2017 in Oakwood Village surrounded by her family. She was born in Springfield, Ohio on March 6, 1938, the daughter of Oris and Vivian Crumley. She was a graduate of Northeastern High School; a former member of Tremont City United Methodist Church and the Red Hat Society. Janet loved listening to music especially the Gaither Vocal Band with Guy Penrod and to Yanni. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Franklin Paul Smith. Survivors include her children Debbie (John) Franklin, Jim (Kim) Smith and Dan Smith; brother Bob Crumley; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Services to honor Janet will be Friday at 7:00 PM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBARMEMORIAL HOME with Pastor Walter Mock officiating. A gathering of family and friends willbegin at 5:00 PM.
