James Ray Toler

James Ray Toler, 68, of New Carlisle, passed away unexpectedly on July 19, 2021. He was born September 27, 1952 in Dayton, the son of the late Dorris and Nannie Toler. James was a member of the F.O.E. #3491. He was an avid fisherman and had a long career as a machinist at Taylor Tool & Die. James is preceded in death by his parents; sister Gloria Cleary; and niece Kimberly K. Cleary. He is survived by his very special ex-wife, Olenda Toler; children Shannon (Mark) Mattern and Jamie Toler; sisters Doris (Keith) Hurtt and Ida Eggenschwiller; brother Thomas (Johanna) Toler; brother-in-law-Steve Cleary; grandchildren Alexis, Haleigh, Cameron, Shianne, Kaylee and Colton; great-granddaughter Hope; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. A celebration of life will be held at the Eagles, 376 Quick Rd, New Carlisle, OH 45344 on Saturday, July 24, 2021 from 5-10pm.
