JAMES "JIM" FLEISCHMAN



85, of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018. He was born January 20, 1933 in Dayton, Ohio the son of the late Edmund & Agnes (Corcoran) Fleischman. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Rita Fleischman; children, Betty (George) Mercuri, David Fleischman Jean (Terry) Carter, Margie (Eric) Graham, Teresa (Jeff) Wright, Patricia (Dave) Allerton, Mary (Brian) Kelly; son-in-law, Tony Grusenmeyer; 27 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Michael Fleischman; a daughter, Julie Grusenmeyer; a brother, Ralph Fleischman; and a sister, Julie Fleischman. Visitation will be 1-5 PM Sunday, March 4, 2018 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 476 N. Scott St., New Carlisle, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Monday in the church. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul, P.O. Box 94, Springfield, Ohio 45501. Arrangements by the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio.
