Woodhouse, Jack Gene, 89 of Moorefield Township went Home to be with his Lord and Savior on January 26, 2021. He was born in Moorefield Township on August 5, 1931, the son of Earl and Eugenia Woodhouse. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He was the owner of Woodhouses & Son Builders and loved farming on the Lone Pine family farm. Jack was a member of Northside Church of God and attended Hillside Church of God. He also worked for Moorefield Township. He loved the freedom of driving his own vehicle to talk to fellow farmers, friends and going to restaurants. He was known as a kindhearted man. Jack was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents Eugene and Florence Boggess; wife Elizabeth Jo (Betty) Woodhouse; son Jeffrey S. Woodhouse; brother Melvin Woodhouse; son-in-law Jeff Williams; and brother-in-law William Kohl. Survivors include his children Jackie (Randy) Miller, Jenny (Allen) Anstine, Jill Williams and daughter-in-law Mary (Brian) Laughlin; special friend Marianne Plank; sisters Betty Jean Kohl and Marilyn (Bill) Tavenner;; grandchildren Chris (Jody) Miller, Misty (Bill) Chrisman, Melissa (John) Jewell, Andy (Alicia) Anstine, Katie (Marcus) Hall, Darcy (Tyler) Jones, Jillian (Chad) Stambaugh, Josh (Brooke) Williams, Carly (Eric) Gudenius and Laura Beth Williams; 25 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. His family would like to thank his care team at Springfield Regional Medical Center for all they did for Jack. Jack was a very gracious man for giving away his Buckeye necklaces that he made from the trees on the family farm. So, if you received a necklace, please wear it to the services. Services to honor Jack will be Saturday at 11:00AM in the Northside Church of God with John Jewell and Pastor Steve Smith officiating. Live streaming will begin at 11:00AM on the Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home Facebook page. Family and friends may call from 9:00AM until time of services with graveside services at Ferncliff Cemetery taking place approximately at 12:15PM.
