Ivan E. Lyall age 89 of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Springfield Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. He was born the son of Dan & Grace (Miller) Lyall on March 13, 1936, in Waterloo, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Mitzie (Stevens) Lyall in 2011 whom he was married to for 53 years; grandson Roger Lyall II; sisters – in law Laverne Ferguson & Loretta Hamm; brothers – in - law Beecher Stevens & Clayton Ferguson; niece Denise Ferguson. Ivan leaves behind to cherish his memory three sons Richard (Debbie) Lyall of Urbana, Roger Lyall, Ron (Kim) Lyall both of Illinois; daughter Anita (Richard) Fries of Springfield; 7 grandchildren Ashley (Dakota) Shannon, Nathan Fries, Kianna (Andrew) Sivill, Brody Lyall, Brandon Lyall & Kaysi (Ivan) Glasgo; great grandchildren Roger III, Trenton, Gavin, Noah, Coraline, Korbyn, Austyn & baby Glasgo on the way; great – great granddaughter Norrie; nieces Rhonda McCormick & Debra Rouse; nephews Gary & Bob Ferguson, Randy Hamm, Don Stevens & Jay McCormick; along with his loving dog Dolly. Ivan was drafted into the United States Army serving his country proudly as a Military Police Officer. He was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ & was a longtime member of Pleasant Community Church of God. In his spare time, he enjoyed reading the Bible, fishing, hunting, wood working, golf & especially golf ball hunting. Most of all he enjoyed spending quality time with his family. Friends & family may call on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 11AM -12PM at RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME 838 E. High St. Springfield, Ohio where a funeral will be held at 12PM with Pastor Gene Kelly officiating. Interment to follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
