Ina Sue Benfield

Ina “Sue” Benfield, 89, of Medway, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 11, 2025. She was born June 26, 1936, in Wayne County, TN, the daughter of the late Harvey and Lillian Brewer. Sue and her husband Ben owned and operated Medway Drycleaners for 55years. She was a member of Calvary Open Bible Church. Sue enjoyed working in her flower beds, making beautiful flower arrangements for friends and family, and making beautiful quilts. She is preceded in death by her husband Rosevelt George “Ben” Benfield and 4 sisters. Sue is survived by her children Jimmy Kahl Brewer, George Benfield, Timothy (Rebecca) Benfield, Jeff Benfield, and Barbara Rines; grandchildren Mark (Jennifer) Rines, Holly Rines, Chris Rines, Stephanie (Tim) Halcomb, Vanessa Thomas, Timothy Scott (Brandi) Frank, Jennifer (Robert) Pettering, and Kenneth (Jessica) Benfield; 28 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; special niece Debbie George who was a great help in caring for Sue; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 12-2pm with the funeral to honor Sue beginning at 2:00pm at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home.
