Homer Glen Copley

Homer Glen Copley, age 78, of New Carlisle, Ohio, passed away on October 16, 2026. He was born in Wayne, County, West Virginia, on July 5, 1948, to the late Mont and Mae Copley. In addition to his parents, Homer was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Elenore Copley.

Homer is survived by his son, Glenn Copley, of New Carlisle, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Lisa Copley, of Covington, Ohio; grandchildren: Lacie Copley and Hanna Copley; great-grandchildren: Brody Atherton and Deacon Atherton and Mahliah Sutherland; sister, Judy Kearns; as well as many other extended family and friends.

Homer worked for General Motors for more than 30 years. After retirement, he spent many days outside on his farm, taking care of his chickens, and spending time with his family. His grandkids and great-grandkids were the light of his life.

A visitation will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar, and Fraley Funeral Home, 507 West Jefferson Street, New Carlisle. Funeral services to honor Homer’s life will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026, officiated by Pastor Shawn Baab, beginning at 10:00 am. Homer will be laid to rest with his wife, Elenore, at Rosedale Cemetery following the funeral.
