Harold F. Ashbaugh

Harold F. Ashbaugh, 85, of New Carlisle, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2018. He was born March 3, 1933 in Harrisburg, PA, the son of the late John and Lenora Ashbaugh. Harold retired from the U.S. Air Force as Chief Master SGT and later retired from Olan Mills. He enjoyed everything outdoors, whether it be hunting or fishing but most of all, in his later years, his grandchildren were his greatest joy. Harold is preceded in death by his wife Mildred J. Ashbaugh; wife Christine Ashbaugh; daughters Pamela Brubaker and Kim Innis; granddaughter Amber Adamson; sisters Joyce Muelhstien, Delores Carney, Carol Ann Buckley and Marcia Muelhstien; brothers Robert Ashbaugh, Ronald Eugene Ashbaugh and Thomas Ashbaugh; half-sister Karen Ashbaugh. He is survived by his sons Alec (Jeani) Ashbaugh, John (Barbara) Ashbaugh, Charlie Salyers and Thomas Ashbaugh; daughters Dianna Gibson, Jody (David) Horrsocks, Kathy (Barry) Leggett and Brenda (Ernie) Adamson; brother John Ashbaugh; sisters Cindy McClellan and Janet (Dale) Friesenhahn; seventeen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service to honor Harold will be Saturday at 12:00 PM in Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM.
