Guy E. Worthington

Guy E. Worthington age 74 of Springfield, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2023, at Springfield Regional Medical Center.  He was born the son of William R. & Patricia (Payne) Worthington on July 12, 1949, in Springfield, Ohio.  He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Judy Worthington; brothers Pat & Terry Worthington; sister Valerie Pape Wilson.  He is survived by his son Guy Jr.; daughter Andrea; brothers Gale Pape, Rick Worthington & Darren Worthington; sisters Cindy Duetscher, Tina Briggs, & Debbie Worthington; special niece Kim Wilson; caretakers Barbara Edwards, Sonny Stewart, & Paul Wilson; several grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, & a host of friends.  Guy served his country in the United States Army.  Later he worked at North High School & Springfield News & Sun.  In his spare time, he enjoyed tinkering in the garage, caring for his animals & eating chicken from Studebakers.
