Gloria Jean Blain, 70, of Springfield passed away suddenly Wednesday, December 26, 2018 in her home. She was born November 22, 1948 in Springfield the daughter of Paul and Imogene (Davis) Winks and attended South High School. Gloria was married to Richard K. Blain (a Navistar retiree) for fifty-three years, and her life revolved around her being a wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to Richard, she is survived by her three children Jonathan K. (Melody) Blain of Springfield, Christine (Terry) Pelfrey of Mechanicsburg, and Richard L. (his girlfriend Jeanne Massie) Blain of Springfield; four grandchildren Courtney and Haygan Blain, Blain Pelfrey and Breanne Blain; one great grandson Maddox Blain; one aunt Helen Pendleton of Springfield; two sisters-in-law Sandy and Shanna Winks; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers Paul William "Bill" Winks and John Lee Winks; and a grandson Brandon Pelfrey. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 1, 2019 from 6 - 8 pm. in RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. Services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 PM. in the Memorial Home with Rev. Bruce Kramer officiating. Burial to follow in Ferncliff Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
