Gisela Allen

Gisela D. Allen age 92 of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 after a long illness.  Gisela was born in Charlottenburg, Germany on March 20, 1931.  She later married the love of her life Ralph Allen & they were happily married for over 60 years.  Gisela is survived by her 6 children Marion Glenn, John (Diane) Allen, Marty Lambert (Rick) Mavrakis, Linda (Tim) Stiffler, Joe Allen, & Norma Pence; granddaughter Avery Hooper; great granddaughters Delaney & Callen Lambert; She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Ralph Allen, grandson Christopher Lambert; son in law Roy Glenn.  Gisela had 5 siblings in Germany Anita, Inga, Karl, Gerhard, & Helga Engelke.  Gisela loved gardening with her flowers & plants, she always had the best looking yard in the neighborhood.  She loved doing home improvement projects.  She enjoyed camping in the summer with her husband & most of all spending quality time with her children, especially her grandchildren who brought her so much joy to her life.
