Gertrude VanHoose
84 of New Carlisle, OH, finally went on the dream excursion she had been talking about and looking forward to. She made arrangements with her Lord Jesus Christ, for an all expense paid trip with Angel Airlines. She departed Saturday, April 28th from her earthly body and landed on the sunny shores of Heaven to be greeted by family and loved ones upon her arrival. She was anxious to see those that had arrived earlier. Her husband Chester VanHoose, parents Samuel and Roberta (Boyd) Borders, sisters Garnet Adams and Monnie Slone, brother Donald Borders and grandson Dustin VanHoose. Those that will join her later are children Susan (John) Caldwell, Connie (Dennis) Liming, Dwight VanHoose, Daryl (Rhonda) VanHoose. Grandchildren Adam, Joshua, Latisha, Ashley, Brandon, Elainee, Aubrey, Zevan, 9 great grandchildren and sister, Bonnie Hayes. Born September 4th, 1933 in Ulysses, KY, "Gertie" was a self-sacrificing, caring woman, devoted to her God and family, and was loved by all her knew her. Though experiencing her own pain and illness, Gertrude was always concerned about others. A celebration of Gertrude’s life will be held from 6-8 PMTuesday, May 1, 2018 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio.
