Gerald "Jerry" Garrett

Garrett, Gerald Dean "Jerry", 67 of Springfield passed away February 19, 2021. He was born in Springfield, Ohio on April 25, 1953, the son of Herbert Dwight and Mary Jean Garrett. Jerry a 1971 graduate of Springfield North, where he was the first male cheerleader. He won numerous awards in both wrestling and gymnastics. Jerry was a very kind soul and would lend a hand in any way he could. Holidays were a big part of his life, but Christmas was he all-time favorite. He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his mother Mary Jean Garrett; brother Doug (Rachael) Garrett; sisters Cindy Hoctel, Cathie Thomas and Dori (Ron) Stacey; and many nieces and nephews. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME has been entrusted with the final arrangements.
