Georgia Lois Gillespie

Georgia Lois (Newman) Gillespie, 86, of Sidney, OH, formerly of New Carlisle, passed away Friday, November 27, 2020 at Sidney Care Center. She had been in declining health. Georgia was born January 7, 1934 in Plummers Landing, KY, the daughter of the late Riley M. and Georgia (Hinton) Newman. She wed James V. Gillespie in Plummers Landing, KY on October 7, 1950. He precedes her in death. This union bore four children James "Jay" (Mandy) Gillespie, Joe (Jennifer) Gillespie, Jill (Kevin) Hughes and Janelle (Marty) Warner; ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Georgia is also preceded in death by two brothers, four sisters and a great-grandson. Georgia will be buried at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with a private graveside service. Social distancing and masks are requested. Chaplain Candy Null will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 580 Lincoln Park Blvd., Suite 320 Kettering, OH 45429.
