Mowen, Georgeanna "Ann" 77 of Springfield passed away August 23, 2021, in the Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born in Springfield, Ohio on April 21, 1944, the daughter of Samuel Morris and Marcella Mae Goheen. Ann was a 1962 graduate of Northeastern High School and retired from Big Bear Grocery after 32 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Foster; siblings Mary (Jim) Boggs, Harold Goheen, Melvin (Carlene) Goheen and Phyllis (Jim) McGee; granddaughter Laney; stepson James (Lois) Mowen and nieces Loanna and Brenda. Survivors include her children Georgia (Destry) Fishel, twins Tara (Linda Downing) Huff and Tania (Chris) Leonardo; step sons Terry and David Mowen and brother Samuel (Barbara) Goheen; grandchildren Aynsley (Megan) Fishel, Zachary (Brittany) Fishel, Hannah (Rob) Sherrick, Christopher (Lesley) McFadden and Eric (Hayley) Downing; great-grandchildren Grayson and Jaxson Fishel and Olive and Lenna McFadden; nieces Patty (Mike) Johnson and Peggy (Dana) Johnson; special friends Julie Short and Pam Garrett and fur babies Zoey and Milo. Ann was a big fan of Elvis, Willie Nelson and John Legend. She enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with her daughters and their families. Ann was a wonderful mother and grandmother (known as Nan) and was an avid collector of angel figurines and loved vacationing in Tennessee. The family wishes to thank Drs. Ash and Najeeb Ahmed for their exceptional care and kindness to their mom, and her nurse Kristen. She will be terribly missed but the family knows she’s in a better place and is now with the love of her life. Services to honor Georgeanna will be Thursday, September 2, 2021, at 1:00PM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. Visitation will begin at Noon. The family is asking visitors to wear a mask. Burial will follow in Vernon Asbury Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Ohio or The American Heart Association.
