George D. Shaw

George D. Shaw, 86 of Springfield passed away December 20, 2018. He was born in Bellaire, Ohio on April 1, 1932, the son of Burt and Telka Shaw. He served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He retired from WPAFB with 36 years of service. George was a member of the Enon United Methodist Church. He was also involved with the Enon Keen-Agers and attended Enon Senior Services functions. He was known as quite the handyman, always willing to help others, and enjoyed hunting and watching various sports. George was preceded in death by his parents; wife Donna in 1987; brother Phillip Shaw; sisters Marie Woollard and Dorothy Cunningham. Survivors include his son Phillip Shaw; grandson Nicholas Shaw; caregiver and friend Ruth Stuart; many nieces and nephews. Services to honor George will be Thursday at 11:00AM in Ferncliff Chapel.
