Gary William Shaner

SHANER, Gary William, 62 of New Carlisle, passed away at home on Wednesday, June 7, 2023. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Gary had worked for more than 18 years at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in various capacities. Gary had a passion for computers, gaming, cameras, electronics, guitars, and any new “gadget” invented. His friends and family remember Gary as the guy that always had a quirky sense of humor, and loved to make people smile and laugh.  He is survived by mother: Donna J. (Lee) Shaner-Thill of New Carlisle, brother: Lee (Romaine) Shaner of Springfield; step-sisters: Wendy (David) Shaner-Wilson of Sidney, and Kathy Bokeno of Sidney, niece: Mandy (Rob) Shaner-Ringe, nephew: Brian Shaner.  And many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father: Donald E. Shaner, step-father Donald C. Thill and brother Daniel Wayne Shaner.

A Graveside Service will be held at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, 8200 W. National Rd., New Carlisle, on July 12, 2023, at 2:00pm, where family and friends can gather to share their respects.
