Thomas, Fred C., 85 of South Charleston passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017 at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born January 27, 1932 in Gallia County, Ohio, the son of John and Glaydes (McGowan) Thomas. He owned operated Thomas’ Garage in South Charleston and retired from O.S. Kelly after 33 years of service in 1995. He served in the US Army. He attended church at the S Charleston Christian Center. He is survived by his wife of 66years Retta (Litteral) Thomas; children Brenda (Charles) Ratliff, Fred M. (Debbie Quickle) Thomas, Kathy (Roger) Ratliff’ Carol (Larry) Burnett’ Keith Thomas and Mendy (Steve) Williams; 18 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; brother Jesse (Wanda) Thomas; sisters Helen Thomas and Sue Vaughn. Fred was preceded in death by his parents; brother and sister-in-law Paul (Bev) Johnson and daughter-in-law Pat Thomas. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-8PM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME and one hour prior at church. Services to honor Fred will be Friday at Noon in the South Charleston Christian Center 328 E Jamestown Street with Rev. Aaron Turner officiating. Burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Fred’s family would like to thank Hospice of Dayton for their exceptional care and kindness.
