Thomas, Fred Michael, 66 of South Charleston passed away December 23, 2019 in his residence following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Springfield, Ohio on August 26, 1953, the son of Fred C. and Retta F. (Litteral) Thomas. Mike had worked for Otis Elevator until their closing. He then began working in the auto body trade with different companies most recently Topline. In his spare time he enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling especially to the Smoky Mountains and working on lawn mowers. Mike was preceded in death by his father; wife Patricia; son Fred M. Thomas; and son in law Jason Brickles. Survivors include his children Melissa (Allen) Coon, Regina Thomas, Angel (Nelson) Weaver-Smith, Elizabeth (Brian) Fitch, Amy Brickles and Heather Thomas; fiancé Deborah Quickle; siblings Brenda (Charles) Ratliff, Kathy (Roger) Ratliff, Carol (Larry) Burnett, Keith (Graciela) Thomas and Mendy (Steve) Williams; thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and his dog King. Services to honor Mike will be Friday at Noon in the South Charleston Christian Center with visitation beginning at 10:00AM. Burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, South Charleston.
