ERNEST L. BANKS

95, of Medway, Ohio passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017. He was born October 2, 1921 in Chagrin Falls, Ohio the son of the late Noah & Polly (Pincombe) Banks. He was a U.S. Army Air Corp WWII veteran and retired aircraft mechanic from Wright Patterson Air Force Base. He was a member of the Good Shepherd UMC, he loved cowboy movies, woodworking, family camping trips and was a Boy Scout Leader. He is survived by a daughter, Sharon Rittinger; a son, David Lee & Sandra Banks; four grandchildren, Cynthia (Neal) Lindsay & Scott Rittinger, Brandon Banks & Benita (Banks) Shatto; seven great grandchildren;a sister, Elsie Kittelson; other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Phyllis Banks. Visitation will be 11-12 noon Saturday, September 16, 2017 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Funeral services will be 12 noon in the funeral home. Burial will be in Medway Cemetery.
