Eric Steven Houston

Eric Steven Houston, 44, of New Carlisle, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, October 15, 2026. He was born November 6, 1981, the son of Paul and Margaret Houston. Eric graduated from Tecumseh High School, Class of 2003. He was awarded the Yes I Can Award for his perseverance through his disability. Eric enjoyed gameshows and movies, especially Home Alone. He loved music, often playing it a little too loud for his mom. Eric was a trooper, never letting anything get in his way and would often flash his beautiful smile at you to let you know everything was ok. He is survived by his loving mother Margaret Houston; siblings Barbara (Mike) Thompson, Paul (Jessica Marcum) Houston, and James (Mary) Houston; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Eric is preceded in death by his father Paul Houston. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 5-7pm with the Celebration of Eric’s life beginning at 7:00pm at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home.
