Emory B. "Bernie" Brannan, Jr., 64, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2017 at his home. Bernie grew up in New Carlisle and lived here most his life. An avid sportsman, hunting and fishing were his favorite pastimes. Silver Lake was his second home for many years! He was a good person who helped others if he was able.Bernie was preceded in death by his life partner Vicky McDaniel; parents Emory Sr. and Alma Brannan; infant sister Mary in 1951; brothers Charlie and Jim Brannan. He is survived by sisters Denise (Gene) Clardy of Murfreesboro, TN, Judy (Gary) Harris of St Petersburg, FL; stepdaughter Andrea (James) Smith; grandkids Easton Reed, Justin Smith and Nina Smith; great-grandson Nolan Lawson; nieces Aimee Alltop, Christa Hollar of Murfreesboro, TN andDaniela Burkel of Crestview, FL; nephews Jason (Julie) Farris Nashville, TN, Jeff (Karri) Farris, Gallatin, TN, James (Ashlee) Brannan of IN and Daniel (Angie) Brannan of Lynn Haven, FL.A memorial mass will be Friday, August 11, 2017 at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial of Ashes will be in Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton, next to his parents.
