Elsie Golden Ferguson Stambaugh died late in the evening, Saturday, October 20th, 2018. She breathed her last in this life surrounded by her children. Born in Morgan County Kentucky, on January 15, 1938; the family moved up to Ohio (Enon, then Springfield) when she was very young. She would eventually settle in Donnelsville, where she was a resident for more than forty years. A huge proponent of continued learning at any age, she went back to school in 1993, despite also having to provide care for her seriously ill mother at the time. She would eventually earn an Associate's degree in business, a point of pride to all who loved her. Gone on ahead of her; parents, John Robert and Flora Elizabeth Ferguson; eight siblings; and ex-husband, Cordell Stambaugh. Left behind one sister, Leona Sanecki; three children, Wayne (Glenna) Stambaugh, Karla North, and Paula Stambaugh; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and many bonus children & grandchildren. She was generous in both words and deed, giving, and loyal to a fault. Creative, cantankerous, and feisty, she was crazy in the very best way and she always, ALWAYS, thought of others more than herself. Per her wishes, there will be no viewing or formal service. If you feel the need to do something, go see a favorite band, try the crazy idea that you've always wanted to do, or simply share a good meal with those you love. In lieu of flowers or such the family asks that donations be sent to Bruckner Nature Center.
