Edward Jenkins

Edward Jenkins, 83, of Springfield, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 20, 2020. He was born March 28, 1937 in Salyersville, KY, the son of the late William and Ora Jenkins. Edward worked as a carpenter, retiring from Local #712. He was a Deacon at United Baptist Church, where he loved singing hymns. Edward is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Charles, Ervin and Herbert Jenkins; and sisters Bernice Lyons and Alma Arnett. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Yvonne; children Angie (Hank) Monaco, Dan Jenkins and Amy (Al) Wilcoxen; brother Hubert Jenkins; sisters Dorothy Jenkins, Shirley Russell and Kolean Fugett; grandchildren Jeremy Jenkins, Kristi Escobar, Tyler Blue, Travis Wilcoxen, Trevor Wilcoxen and Chelsea Jones; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4-7 PM at Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home. The funeral service to honor Edward will be held Friday at 12:00 PM at the Memorial Home.
