Aper, Edward L., 71 of Springfield passed away April 12, 2017 in his residence. He was born in Springfield, Ohio on October 18, 1945, the son of Edward R. and Freda Aper. Ed was a graduate of Springfield High School. Ed was a member of the Lighthouse Tabernacle, Tremont City. He was the owner of Aper Maintenance. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and watching The Ohio State Buckeyes. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Sandra Crabbe and daughter Cheryl Fent. Survivors include his wife of 24 years Charlene Aper; children Denise (Jeff) Lunsford, Eddie (Cathy) Aper, Beth (Steve) Anon, Jim (Jenny) Brandenburg, Chuck (Treva) Brandenburg, Amy (Tom Morris) Brandenburg and Kelli Brandenburg; sister Patricia Ann (Gerald) Hoover; 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren including Gracie; several nieces and nephews; and his dog Abby. Services to honor Ed will be Monday at 7:00PM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME with Pastor Rick Clos officiating. Visitation will begin at 5:00PM.
