Edna M. Ray

Edna M. Ray, 86, of New Carlisle, passed away surrounded by her family on August 28, 2025, just one day shy of her 87th birthday. She was born on August 29, 1938, in Pikeville, Kentucky, to the late Arthur & Ann Potter. Edna was a beautician for many years, working in the Englewood area. She is survived by her son, Mark (Bernadette) Coriell, her grandchildren, Aubrey, Elizabeth, Christopher, Alicia, and Mat, her nephews, Harold Bartley and Jeff Shoup, her special friend, Jerry, and her beloved K-9 companions. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Allen Ray, and her sisters Betty McCreary and Pat Shoup. Edna's life was a testament to love, family, and friendship. She will be remembered for her kindness and her unwavering support for those she held dear. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. In accordance with Edna's wishes, a private burial will take place at Royal Oak Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home.
