Edith K. (Dick) Haywood

Edith K. (Dick) Haywood, 76, of Springfield, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, October 11, 2020. She was born in Accoville, WV on July 28, 1944, the daughter of the late Ernest and Josephine Dick. She is preceded in death by her son Douglas Haywood; grandsons Thomas and Douglas Hayes; a sister, Cassie Blitchington, and brothers Paul Dick and Eugene Dick. Edith is survived by her children Jody (Sherri) Haywood and Joanna (Tom) Hayes; sisters Betty Howard, Janet Davidson, Anna Lee Slaidins, Mabel Springer and Glenna Foreman; grandchildren Joseph (Savannah) Haywood, Cody Haywood, Daniel (Britane) Prater, Dylan (Fiancee Cheyenne) Prater, Jamie (Aaron) Dennis and Micheal Hayes; great-grandchildren Dalton, Brody, Wesley, Avayah, Lillian, Willow, Katherine, Charolette, Aaron Jr. and Jonathan; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 15, 2020 from 6-8 PM at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home. The funeral service to honor Edith will be held Friday, October 16, 2020 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home with Pastor Karl Chadrick officiating. Burial will follow in Medway Cemetery.
