Ed Eckerly

68, of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away Monday, May 11, 2020. He was born February 1, 1952 in Xenia, Ohio, the son of Harold & Margaret Eckerly. He worked at Reynolds & Reynolds in Dayton for 19 years. He was a former member of the Ohio Huskie Muskie Club, and is a member of Bethel Community Church of the Nazarene in Medway. Ed was an avid fisherman, hunter, & Ohio State Buckeyes fan. He loved spending time with his grandson, Seth, who he adored. He will be missed by his dog, Piper. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Linda (Jamison) Eckerly; a daughter & son-in-law, Sarah & Brad Hornback; grandson, Seth Hornback; in-laws Don & Norma Jamison; brothers and sisters in-law Ron & Debbie Jamison, Chuck & Melissa Wade, life-long friend, Steve Durall, and other relatives and friends. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his beloved son, Shawn Eckerly. Due to COVID 19 a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
