Douglas Edward Crowell

Douglas Edward Crowell, age 57, of Springfield, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family July 12, 2026. He was a cherished father, brother, and friend, his presence will be deeply missed.

Doug was born in Springfield, Ohio, on July 5, 1969, to Linda Heater and Gary Crowell. He dedicated his life to his passion for horsepower, antiques, and collector items. To those who knew him best, the garage was more than a building; it was an extension of Doug himself. It echoed with the rumble of engines, the click of tools, stories shared among friends, and the generosity of a man who was always willing to lend a hand.

Doug is survived by his daughter: Faith Crowell (Baker); his sisters Jill Crowell and Amanda Witwer; stepbrothers, Brian and Eric Saho; grandson Ashor Baker; Billy Lightner. He was preceded in death by his parents Linda Heater and Gary Crowell; granddaughter Calliope “Callie” Baker; stepson Jeromey Faulkner; aunt Onda Crowell; and grandparents.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 10am-12pm with the service to honor Doug beginning at 12:00pm at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Casstown Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.trostelchapman.com.
