Douglas A. Bowman
64, of Enon, Ohio passed away Saturday, September 26, 2020, after an 11 year hard fought valiant battle with cancer. He was born September 10, 1956 in Miami County, the son of the late Richard A. Bowman & Anna Marie (Metz) Bowman. Doug was a graduate of Tippecanoe High School. He was a proud United States Marine, and a die-hard Cleveland Browns fan since he was 8 years old, he was also a member of the U.S. Trotting Association owning several standardbred race horses.
Doug was a hardworking man that regularly worked 80+ hour work weeks. He took great pride in getting up every morning and going to work. After his illness sidelined him from working full time he filled his time with various side jobs up until his passing. He enjoyed sports, fishing, tinkering around the garage, coming up with his own recipes in the kitchen and playing bingo.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years Joyce Bowman; three children ; daughter, Amy (Amanda Miller) Bowman of Enon; sons Mark (Wendy Edwards) Bowman of Fairborn, Chad (Denise) Bowman of Springfield; 7 grandchildren, Maci Bowman, Ryan Bowman, Jate Bowman, Alaric Bowman, J.T Craft, Natalie Miller, and Cora Carter; brother, Rick Bowman; and a furry companion, Mya; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Doug was preceded in death by his parents and younger brother Steve Bowman.
