Dorothy V. Stroup

Dorothy V. Stroup, 79, passed away January 6, 2017 surrounded by her husband, loving sons and their families. She was born August 23, 1937 in Springfield, the daughter of the late Addison W. and Bertha (Spence) Colegrove. Dorothy was a graduate of Tecumseh High School, class of 1956. Dorothy and her husband were owner operators of Stroup's Paint Store in New Carlisle and later was a bus driver for Tecumseh Local Schools. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 59 years Norman F. Stroup; sons Dion (Rhonda) Stroup and Doug (Laura) Stroup; sisters Carol Rhodus and Donna Alig; grandchildren Donnie (Amy) Stroup, Tracey (Zach) Wiant, Kyle Stroup and Ashley Stroup; four great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by her brothers Virgil and Lamar Colegrove; and sister Opal Anderson. A memorial service to honor Dorothy will be Thursday at 7:00 PM in TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 5:00 PM.
