Donald Wilson, Sr.

Wilson, Sr., Donald, 87 of Springfield died October 9, 2019 in the Laurels of Huber Heights. He was born in Jackson County, Ohio on November 26, 1931, the son of William and Lola Wilson. Don served his country in the US Army. He retired from Navistar. Don was a member of Local 402, Machinists Club, AMVETS, Union Club and Eagles. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and boating. Don also was a fan of OSU Football and his almost weekly trips to the Clarence J Brown Reservoir. Don was preceded in death by his parents; wife Leota; son Donald, Jr.; five brothers and one sister. Survivors include his daughter Dixie (Glenn) Davis; grandchildren Keith Davis, Shonda (Danny) Ashley, Dara (Nicolas Uriostegui) Davis and Della (Allen) Lawson; sixteen great-grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Services to honor Don will be Monday at 1:00PM in the Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home with visitation beginning at Noon. Burial to follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
