Donald G. Detrick

Donald G. Detrick, 90, of New Carlisle, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2022. He was born February 25, 1932, in Springfield, the son of the late Herbert & Julia Detrick. He was a Korean War, Navy Veteran. He worked for 45 years as a draftsman. His favorite past time flying and building aircraft. He is survived by his, niece Theresa “Terri” (Keith) Nawman; nephew Michael (Ginger) Nangle, nephews Terry Wilson, Bruce Wilson & Lance Detrick; niece Holly Detrick Mithoff, Lorna Detrick Biggert, Sheryl Wilson Perecsta; brother in law Leonard Wilson, sister in law, Vivian Detrick; grandnieces Sara Nangle, Michele (Matt) Sprieday, Brittany (Matt) Porteus and Emily (Adam) Galat, Amber Wilson, Crystal Wilson Stevenson, Sarah Tan, Alexis Detrick; grand nephews, Grant Biggert & Augustas Mithoff; and numerous great-grand nieces and nephews. Don is preceded in death by his wife of 66 years Delphiane Detrick, his parents and sister & fraternal twin, Shirley, brother Richard, brother & sister-in-law James & Loeda Nangle. Visitation will be held Friday, October 7, 2022, from 2-3pm at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home, New Carlisle, with the service to honor Donald beginning at 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
