Delmar Lee Parker

Delmar Lee Parker, 83, of Clark County went to be with his Heavenly Father on January 1. 2018. He was born January 28, 1934 in Chillicothe, OH the son of Harry and Blanche (Cozad) Parker. Delmar was retired from Navistar-International and was a member of Newson Missionary Church and UAW Local 402. Delmar loved the outdoors, whether he was walking, fishing, hunting, gardening or splitting firewood, he was happy to be outside. He also loved animals and took in strays of all types. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Shirley Ann (Knotts) Parker; two sons Terry (LouAnn) Parker of Niles, MI, and Mark Parker of Springfield; four daughters Vicki (Pete) Schwierking of St. Paris, Connie Sue (Jim) Fannin of Urbana, Cindy (Pat) Sigler of Ooltewah, TN, and Amy (Steve) Russell of Fair Oaks Ranch, TX; one sister Bonnie Hoberty of Springfield; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers Earl and Darrell Parker, and a sister Ruth Bisher. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 – 11 AM. in the Newson Missionary Church. Services will be Saturday at 11:00 AM. in the church with Pastor Richard McIntosh officiating. Burial to follow in Terre Haute Cemetery.
