Dawn Beedy

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alana Dawn Beedy, a beloved resident of Springfield, Ohio. Alana passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 16th, 2026, at the age of 64. Born in Springfield on Tuesday, October 3rd, 1961, Alana lived a life filled with love, warmth, and community spirit. A devoted homemaker, Alana was also the proud owner of the Heart of Country Gift Shop, where her passion for crafts and home décor was shared with many. Her entrepreneurial spirit and keen eye transformed her shop into a cherished local establishment. Alana found great joy in hosting holiday parties, with family Christmas gatherings being her favorite, and she took immense pride in maintaining a beautiful yard filled with vibrant flowers. Her green thumb and festive spirit brought joy to all who knew her. Family was central to Alana's life. She cherished attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, always cheering them on from the stands or watching intently on GameChanger when she couldn't be there in person. Her loving legacy lives on in her husband of 48 years, William Beedy, and their children, William C. Beedy Jr. and Jeremy G. Beedy with his wife Allison. She also leaves behind cherished memories with her former daughter-in-law Kristen Beedy, her brother William (Gigi) Wise Jr., and her beloved grandchildren Tyler, Alden, Piper, Finley, Melanie, and Teddy. Alana is preceded in death by her parents, William R. Wise Sr. and Norma Wise, as well as her brother, Bruce Wright. Her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of her family and friends. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26th, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home in Springfield. A funeral service will follow on Wednesday, May 27th, 2026, at 10:00 am at the same location. Interment to follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Alana Dawn Beedy touched countless lives with her kindness, creativity, and unwavering devotion to her family. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
