David Scott Thornton

David Scott Thornton, 56 of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away tragically on August 13, 2020. He was born on April 30, 1964 and leaves behind his mother Marilyn Welsh, father David Thornton, wife Claudine, daughters Marilyn and Theresa, son Aayden-Jacque, siblings Kelly and Tom, aunts Janice, Bambi & Martha, uncles Darryll and Lowell, grand kids, cousins,other relatives and friends.

David honorably served in the United States Army for five years and later worked in Customer Service for over 20 years; because of his deep passion for service to people. He also loved Makeup artistry, oftentimes demonstrated by his making of masks, zombies and other face art. During the Christmas season one would find David playing the role of Santa Claus to many kids.

A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate the life of David, at the First United Methodist Church, 220 S Main Street New Carlisle, Ohio on August 22, 2020 at 2:30pm. Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar and Fraley prepared his final arrangement. His cremated remains will be buried at Dayton NationalCemetery at a later date.
