David Allen Fraley

David Allen Fraley, age 69, of Troy, Ohio passed away peacefully on September 22, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on May 16, 1957, and went home to be with his late parents, Addie and Mary Fraley.

David is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Barbara Fraley; his daughter, Ashley (Scott) Carroll of Troy, Ohio; and his stepchildren, Marie Francis of Springfield, Ohio; and Matthew Francis of Springfield, Ohio.

He was a proud grandfather to Courtney Carroll of Troy, Ohio; Levi Adkins of Springfield, Ohio; Marissa Merrell of Columbus, Ohio; Amber Merrell of Columbus, Ohio; Candice Merrell of Columbus, Ohio; Blair Carroll of Troy, Ohio; and Peyton Carroll of Troy, Ohio as well as 16 great grandchildren.

He is also survived by his siblings, Robert (Kim) Fraley of Medway, Ohio and twin sister, Vanessa (David) Murray of Donnelsville, Ohio. As well as many nieces and nephews.

David graduated from Bethel High School in 1975 and was a member of McKendree Chapel in Troy, Ohio.

David was a hardworking man who spent his career as a Master tool maker. He took pride in his work and knew the value of working hard and providing for the people he loved.

When David wasn’t working, you could often find him doing the things that made him happiest, He loved being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He also loved his Harley and the freedom that came with riding. Whether he was out on the water, in the woods, or on the open road, he was happiest doing the things he loved.

Above all, David loved his family. He cherished family time with the kids and grandkids especially loved all the babies. His family brought him happiness, and the memories made together will be treasured forever.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th from 4 pm to 6 pm. The service will follow on Tuesday morning at 10:30 am all at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar and Fraley Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at trostelchapman.com.
